Security Clearance/Requirements: Must hold Negative Vetting 1 at time of application

ABOUT THE ROLE

A Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced APS6 Logistics and Asset Coordinator to support a specialist security division responsible for managing security equipment and assets across global locations.

This role will work closely with senior leadership to coordinate logistics operations and support the delivery of a large-scale security asset refresh program. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock levels overseeing procurement activities and ensuring the effective management of security assets both domestically and internationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage security equipment stock levels and coordinate procurement activities to maintain supply requirements.

  • Maintain and update asset management databases controlling security equipment at overseas locations and within Australia.

  • Conduct stocktakes and audits of security equipment.

  • Plan and deliver end-to-end procurement processes including market research preparation of documentation evaluations negotiations and contract awards.

  • Provide high-level customer service and proactive advice to internal stakeholders in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.

  • Work under limited supervision effectively planning and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.

  • Manage group mailboxes corporate documentation and records management.

  • Undertake additional duties as directed.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Experience analysing suppliers markets products and service categories to inform procurement planning.

  • Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision including in high-pressure environments.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Commonwealth procurement processes including knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

  • Understanding of overseas operating environments within a Federal Government context.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Australian Citizenship is required.

  • Must hold minimum Negative Vetting 1 clearance at time of application.
