The Catering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of Bon Appétits catering operations. This role requires a combination of strong leadership organizational skills and a deep understanding of the catering industry. The Catering Manager will ensure effi cient operations exceptional customer service and profi tability for the catering department.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Develop and implement effi cient operational procedures to streamline catering processes.
Manage catering staff including scheduling training and performance evaluations.
Oversee inventory management ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
Monitor and analyze catering performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Customer Service:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients ensuring their complete satisfaction with catering services.
Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote catering services and generate new business.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the catering departments budget.
Monitor and control costs to ensure profi tability.
Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation.
Conduct regular quality checks and audits.
Event Planning and Execution:
Oversee the planning and execution of catering events from initial client consultation to on-site management.
Coordinate with kitchen staff servers and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
Manage event logistics including transportation equipment and staffi ng.
