We seek a highly motivated and qualified Assembly Technician to assist our Operations Department. This position is very critical to the long-term success of the company as our customers expect increasing levels of technical expertise and product reliability.

Reporting to the Director of Operations this position will be a key contributor to SOLiDs continued growth and success. Duties will include the following;
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing RMAs
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions specifications and parts lists; gathering parts subassemblies tools and materials
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit fastening parts and subassemblies
- Pick products and components for assembly.
- Manage stock and inventory control by utilization of inventory counting procedures.
- Verify clerical computations against the physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count and investigate and report reasons for discrepancies
- Conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials or parts; communicating required adjustments to support team
- Figuring out assembly problems and notifying the Quality Control Supervisor about problems to be solved
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations
- Unload receive and put away products into inventory.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Keep the timeline of the shipping schedule
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven track record in product assembly and logistics. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization in a high-growth industry.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required. Two year college preferred.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to solve problems and produce new methods and ideas through critical thinking and reasoning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be punctual and dependable
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Be eligible to get license for sit-down forklift operations and single-reach lift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
