We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring the daily functionality safety and reliability of facility equipment and designated work areas. This role supports preventive maintenance equipment installation repairs and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain optimal operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily functionality and upkeep of assigned facility areas.
  • Install inspect troubleshoot and maintain mechanical equipment.
  • Identify equipment irregularities perform repairs and replace defective parts.
  • Verify proper operation of safety devices after all repairs or installations.
  • Support and facilitate the preventive maintenance (PM) program.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs reports and documentation.
  • Conduct routine cleaning lubrication and equipment care.
  • Follow all workplace safety standards and maintain a safe clean work environment.
  • Participate in required training programs.
  • Meet KPIs including zero losttime incidents budget adherence customer satisfaction 5S compliance and maintenance costeffectiveness.
  • Complete improvement opportunities identified by team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • College/University education or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; millwright experience is an asset.
  • Valid drivers license required; forklift license preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment safety standards; pneumatics experience an asset.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently meet deadlines and adapt to a diverse environment.
  • Professional tactful and diplomatic interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills required.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check drug screen and postoffer testing.
