Job Summary
Job Title:Registered Nurse Emergency Department (Night Shift)
Location:Ithaca NY
Contract Length:13 Weeks
Shift:Night 12-hour shifts 3 per week (36 hours/week)
Start Date:Immediate / As Available
Pay Range:$50$61/hr W2 (Weekly: $1725$2104.50)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seekinga Registered Nurse Emergency Departmentfor an exciting Local or Travel job in Ithaca NY.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department per individualized care plans
- Assess monitor and document patient needs (physical emotional educational etc.)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians ED techs case managers)
- Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned coordinating patient flow and staff assignments
- Assist with triage admissions and throughput planning
- Provide patient education and family support
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies protocols and safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Current and validRN license in New York
- BLSrequired;ACLSpreferred
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred not required
- PreviousED or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strongassessment critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellentcommunication conflict resolution and time management skills
- Ability towork independently and collaboratively
- Charge Nurse experience preferred not required
