A. POSITION PURPOSE

Lead an OLLI course for a given quarter.

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Course Instruction

  • Prepare in advance all course content and materials
  • Determine the method details and delivery of the course
  • Be solely responsible for the content taught in the course
  • Provide relevant instructional media and equipment (e.g. hardware and software)
  • Ensure students have consistent breaks for courses over 2 hours in length
  • Manage class time to ensure entire syllabus content is covered
  • Work with OLLI hosts for classroom protocol announcements

D. GENERAL GUIDELINES

Maintains contact with community and solicits feedback for improved services. Maximizes productivity through use of appropriate tools; planned training and performance initiatives.

E. QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The items below are representative of the knowledge skills abilities education and experience required or preferred.

This position requires the ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially with older adults
