Job Summary
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology
Join a dedicated healthcare team in a leading facility located in the charming city of Lexington Kentucky. This position offers the opportunity to work in an inpatient hospital setting providing essential care in gastroenterology. Ideal for those looking to contribute significantly to patient welfare in a supportive environment with advanced medical technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient coverage and rounding for gastroenterology patients.
- Perform a range of gastroenterology procedures including ERCP (highly preferred) and typical endoscopies.
- Participate in inpatient decision-making and consultations.
- Respond to emergency department calls and manage relevant cases.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including 3 dedicated inpatient APPs.
- Manage admissions and patient care with an average of 10-20 patients per day.
- Utilize Epic for electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Active Kentucky Medical License.
- Experience with ERCP is highly preferred.
- ACLS and DEA certifications are required.
- Clean malpractice record is mandatory.
- Availability for immediate start upon name clearance.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology (Required).
- Kentucky Medical License (Required).
- ERCP experience (Highly Preferred).
- Current certifications in ACLS and DEA (Required).
- Clean Malpractice history (Required).
