Summary:
This position performs activities that have significant implications on overall Revenue Cycle performance. This position works quickly and efficiently to provide timely access to clinical services allow for claims to be proper filed for timely billing reduce denials and keep patients apprised of coverage amounts. Professional accurate and courteous communications will occur with patients/family members/guarantors and physicians/office staff in the deployment of key activities utilizing multiple modes of communication.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associates Degree from a two year college is preferred.
2. Five years experience in health care physician office scheduling patient registration patient account billing and/or medical records coding is required.
3. Extensive experience with medical terminology anatomy is required.
4. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD codes as applied to patient registration/scheduling is required.
5. Knowledge of clinical procedures acuity and application to the population by gender and age is required.
6. Knowledge of government payers and commercial insurance plans required.
7. Experience indicating a high degree of public exposure and superb customer service skills is required.
8. Ability to follow and interpret oral and written instructions institutional documents and policies is required.
9. Ability to gather analyze and display data in appropriate format and keep accurate records is required.
10. Ability to work under minimal general supervision is required.
11. Intermediate skills with business computer software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
12. NAHAM certification is preferred.
13. Bilingual preferred.
Pay Range: $22.59- $30.51
