Summary

Serves as the primary liaison to BlueCross Association driving strategic alignment IT oversight and cross-functional collaboration. Leads policy development performance measurement and long-range planning to ensure compliance operational excellence and achievement of corporate objectives.

Requires occasional travel 3-4 times a year.


Description

Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. It may be necessary given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role is located at 4101 Percival Road Columbia SC 29229

What You Will Do:

  • Represent the organization in industry associations and collaborate with internal and external leaders to align initiatives resolve issues and ensure compliance. Drive effective communication across departments to support performance standards and policy awareness across business lines.

  • Oversee major IT system enhancements and projects to ensure corporate needs are not compromised.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff supporting test scenario development system evaluation and problem-solving to enhance understanding of system constraints.

  • Lead the development of success metrics and organizational structures to support strategic planning. Manage policy development to address complex business issues.

  • Actively contribute to long-range strategic planning bringing technical benefit structure and healthcare expertise to internal and external stakeholder discussions.

  • Approve coordinated budgets that support strategic goals and ensure cost-effective operations.

To Qualify for This Position Youll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: Bachelors degree

  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associates and 2 years job related work experience.

  • Required Work Experience: 10 years-of progressively responsible information technology or related analytical and/or consulting experience including either 3 years of management level experience in a health-related environment OR 3 years of equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to build and manage strong relationships with external partners and clients in a consulting or corporate services environment. Demonstrated expertise in relating complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to customers. Demonstrated expertise in mentoring others in the concepts of managing relationships with customers in a consulting capacity identifying customer needs and ensuring those needs are met with products and services offered. Ability to deliver presentations at industry conferences participate in high-level conference calls with external partners and stakeholders and represent the organization effectively in internal executive leadership depth knowledge of technical aspects of claims and/or membership processing systems and policies AMMS subsystems and existing hard-coded logic RULEs database processing and easytrieve/DB2 programs sufficient to lead projects and related testing efforts for multiple customers/contracts. Demonstrated ability in selecting and developing human resources for current and future positions within all departmental areas including positions in corporate management. Ability to identify and implement emerging techniques technology and business practices that evolve or strengthen the Corporation or related business units. Ability to advise others in the concepts of supporting corporate decision-making and recognizing AMMS system capabilities through use of various system analysis tools and depth knowledge of CPT-4/NABSP procedure coding diagnosis coding and their relationships to type and place of service supporting AMMS files and procedure master files.
