He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi About the role:
As a Senior Control Systems Networking Engineer you will design deliver and support the telecommunications networks that underpin KiwiRails control systems. You will focus on resilient and secure networks in metro environments lead RNIP and capital project delivery provide advanced technical support and mentor others across the team. Your work will support safety operational performance and compliance with engineering standards.

You will bring sound technical judgement strong collaboration skills and a considered approach to safety.
Essential:
5 years experience in network engineering or administration
Strong knowledge of network architecture security and troubleshooting
Familiarity with TCP/IP Modbus BGP OSPF VRRP
Experience with tools such as Nagios and Wireshark
Understanding of VM technologies and safety-critical systems
Clear adaptable communication skills
Strong organisational capability
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
Current NZ drivers licence
Desirable:
Experience in industrial or rail networking
Familiarity with radio systems (microwave SCADA voice)
Cisco certifications (CCNP CCDP)
