Responsibilities

Acadia is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Technology Services team in supporting the Universitys hybrid infrastructure - spanning on-premises VMware systems and Microsoft cloud platforms.

Reporting to the Manager IT Infrastructure you will play a key role in managing securing and automating systems that support our faculty staff and students. You will also help drive our cloud transformation by enhancing our use of Microsoft Intune Azure AD and Microsoft 365 services.

Youll be joining a collaborative supportive team of IT professionals working with modern Microsoft technologies and hybrid cloud infrastructure to keep our systems secure reliable and evolving. Your expertise will make an immediate and visible impact as we advance our digital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune Azure AD and Microsoft 365 environments for endpoint identity and application management.
  • Participate in planning design and implementation of hybrid and cloud infrastructure including virtualization storage and automation.
  • Maintain and enhance system performance reliability and security including patching monitoring and backup operations.
  • Support identity management access control and group policy across both Azure AD and on-prem Active Directory environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy automation and configuration management solutions (e.g. PowerShell scripting).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives documentation and technical standards.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and change management activities (may include early mornings evenings or weekends).

What youll need

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field - or an equivalent combination of education training and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Windows Server administration Active Directory and cloud-based Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience managing Intune-enrolled devices Azure AD join/hybrid join and Microsoft 365 tenant administration.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Intune (device compliance configuration profiles application deployment)
  • Azure AD / Entra ID and Active Directory (identity roles synchronization security)
  • Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange SharePoint Teams security & compliance)
  • VMware vSphere / HyperV / Dell VxRail environment management
  • Scripting with PowerShell or similar administrative languages (C# VB Python)
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN firewall concepts)
