Job Description:
A Sourcing Manager directs and oversees the procurement of raw materials ensuring consistent adherence to quality standards cost objectives and delivery schedules. They are instrumental in building and maintaining supplier relationships negotiating advantageous contracts and proactively managing supply chain risks to support seamless production. Additionally their role involves regularly updating budgets driving savings initiatives and approaching sourcing decisions with a strategic mindset to align with broader business goals and deliver long-term value.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Identify evaluate and select suppliers based on quality cost delivery and service criteria.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous supply and negotiate favorable terms.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage supplier risk assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. procurement operations quality finance) to align sourcing activities with organizational goals.
Procurement & Cost Management
Lead cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation and supplier consolidation.
Monitor market trends pricing and supply chain risks to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions.
Manage purchase orders contracts and procurement documentation ensuring compliance with company policies.
Track and report on sourcing KPIs such as cost savings supplier performance and procurement cycle times.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal policies ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Support sustainability and corporate social responsibility goals through responsible sourcing practices.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Mentor and support junior sourcing staff and collaborate with other departments to foster a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Participate in cross-segment projects and contribute to enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field.
3-5 years of experience in sourcing procurement or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with sustainable sourcing and supplier diversity programs.
