Job Summary
Join our Quality Assurance (QA) Department (2nd Shift).
This department not only ensures product compliance with quality standards but also manages customer requests for special gift wrap orders. Customers pay an additional fee to have their items wrapped in decorative gift boxes. The Quality Assurance Inspector on 2nd Shift is responsible for performing inspections and verifying product quality while also ensuring that special gift wrap orders meet accuracy and presentation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections on raw materials in-process items and finished goods.
- Record inspection results and maintain quality logs.
- Identify quality issues and communicate them promptly.
- Report deviations and assist with corrective actions.
- Monitor adherence to safety and quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement efforts.
- Handle customer gift wrap requests ensuring precise folding and presentation.
- Work with gift paper and decorative materials following specific measurements for each box size.
- Apply and remember correct folding dimensions according to the guidelines at each work table.
- Maintain a fast work pace while ensuring accuracy and quality in wrapping.
Requirements:
- Previous QA or inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to stand through the entire shift.
- Good documentation skills.
- English comprehension of at least 80% (required).
- Basic computer knowledge (required).
- Manual dexterity and speed to handle wrapping materials efficiently.
- Patience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment without losing precision.
- Strong memory skills to recall specific measurements for different box sizes.
