Essential FunctionsConsistently work cooperatively and respectfully with residents and team members to support a positive work environment. Be present on the floor during meal periods checking in with residents across Independent Living Assisted Living and Skilled Care. Model a professional team-inclusive service-focused demeanor. Actively listen to resident family and team member concerns and take appropriate action or escalate to the Director of Dining/Front-of-House Manager as needed. Interview hire and train new Dining Services team members. Assess team member performance provide feedback and coach as needed. Address and resolve issues related to food quality presentation and temperature. Create bi-weekly schedules manage time-off requests and track attendance. Accurately document and manage physical inventory; responsible for ordering within the allotted monthly budget. Demonstrate proficiency in menu writing and development including seasonal menus international cuisine and fine-dining recipe creation. Develop necessary forms checklists and quality assurance tools. Assist the Director of Dining with budget development cost control and maintenance of policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining or designee.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required. Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. CDM certification preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated goal-oriented and committed to excellence and innovation. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently. Proficient with computers and software applications (Word Excel).
