JOB SUMMARY:

The Media Specialist is responsible for the development production and post-production of assigned Universal Creative in-house video content and project based attraction media content. Responsible for coordinating the integration of media deliverables for existing attraction updates as well as attractions in developmental mock-up and final production phases. Works directly on planning and producing presentation materials required for review and approval of media-related creative development. Provides materials to producers directors and associates from IP partners and performs as the film editor when providing creative editorial services for in-house and project based attraction content. Responsible for archiving and management of digital assets created over the duration of each assigned project. Provides expertise in both shooting video productions and editing in a deadline driven environment

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Edits assigned internal and attraction based projects through all phases of creation from concept to final media including but not limited to pre-visualizations animatics footage sequence editing technical review edits original motion graphic design recording scratch tracks laying back audio tracks and internal content. Supports all phases of media editing and post-production and facilitate internal media pipelines schedules and creative reviews as well as in-progress media traffic between vendors and Universal Creative. Responsible for the coordination of supporting media vendors in the production of all media elements including but not limited to film video special effects and motion effects development and production.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing media archive strategies for both hardware and software to create an easily searchable database of media assets. Supports media archiving efforts for on-going projects maintains and establishes procedures for assigned archive materials as well as assist in developing master archives for all media elements world-wide.
  • Provides video and photography production support to document mockups create original content for media integration as necessary and film original content for internal projects. Mastery of camera and basic lighting techniques as well as production audio recording.
  • Researches new media products applications providers and systems as they may apply to UPR.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Working knowledge of asset management software as well as audio film and video editing software systems techniques and video/photography live action productions.
  • Responsible for the development production and post-production of assigned Universal Creative attraction media content and deliverables.
  • Influences decisions of moderate nature requiring a high degree of tact and professionalism.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in Film and Video Production is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

2 years experience in media development design and production of multiple media formats including but not limited to all standard film and video formats in addition to large-screen projection multiple projection High-Definition 3-D; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
