Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking skilled Service Technicians to join our team and is inviting members of the military to complete an unpaid internship to train for an Apprentice Service Technicianrole within the company through approved participation in the SkillBridge program for a period of 120 days. Here youll work alongside some of the best in the business. Youll also be responsible for learning to repair client and dealership vehicles while maintaining a positive relationship with clients. We run an honest shop and need honest hard-working techs. Only those who value integrity and ethics need to apply which makes military service members a great fit for our company.
Responsibilities
- Complete the training plan for Sheehy Automotive Technicians approved by SkillBridge maintaining good or excellent scores during the weekly training plan assessments.
- Work with a mentor to discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor as needed.
- Communicate additional service requests to a service advisor as needed
- Plan work procedures in cooperation with mentor and/orshop foreman
- Provide labor time estimates to a service advisor as needed
- Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
- Complete story and documentation for client repairs
- Attend company and factory training
- Complete online manufacturer maintenance certification
- Keep current with factory technical bulletins
- Understand and follow federal state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Authorized to participate in SkillBridge Program (documentation to be provided to Sheehy)
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Able to pass pre-employment background checks MVR and drug screen
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
