Aspiring Child Therapist Wandsworth November 2025 Start
Location: Wandsworth South West London
Contract: November 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: Minimum 444 per week (PAYE)

Are you a Psychology or Counselling graduate looking for experience supporting childrens emotional wellbeing
This Aspiring Child Therapist role in Wandsworth offers hands-on experience working with pupils who require additional emotional or behavioural support. As an Aspiring Child Therapist youll help children express themselves manage emotions and develop positive coping skills within a school setting.
In this Aspiring Child Therapist position youll work alongside SEN staff Speech and Language Therapists and school counsellors supporting pupils through both group and individual sessions. Youll gain practical experience that will prepare you for further study or training in child therapy counselling or psychology.
The Aspiring Child Therapist role is ideal for graduates who are patient empathetic and passionate about supporting childrens mental health and wellbeing.
The Role:
- Support pupils with emotional and social needs in class
- Assist with wellbeing interventions and mentoring sessions
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff
- Hours: 08:3015:30 (term-time only)

- Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology Counselling or related field
- Genuine interest in mental health and child development
- Calm compassionate and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply
