Job Title: Future Power Markets Analysis Manager
Location: Belfast (Hybrid 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

We are hiring for our client a leading electricity transmission system operator seeking an experienced Future Power Markets Analysis Manager to lead a team of analysts and support the strategic development of the electricity market in Northern Ireland. This is a pivotal leadership role within the Networks and Innovation Directorate responsible for delivering critical analysis stakeholder engagement and project oversight that will directly impact the future of the all-island power market. The Role:
Lead manage and develop a skilled team of analysts supporting strategic energy market development
Plan and deliver departmental objectives through technical reports studies and decision-making data
Coordinate with stakeholders including government departments regulatory authorities and market operators
Drive innovation across cross-border electricity markets and support transformation projects
Guide business readiness for market changes through analytical insight and policy influence
Oversee complex projects ensuring alignment with regulatory and business goals
Stay ahead of energy market trends and provide strategic input to future market frameworks
The Person:
Third level qualification with at least 8 years of relevant commercial experience
Proven leadership of technical teams and delivery of large-scale analytical projects
Deep understanding of power markets design modelling and regulatory environments
Skilled in stakeholder engagement strategic thinking and complex data analysis
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights for a broad audience
Desirable experience with SEM TSOs or European energy markets and regulations
