Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education experience and/or certifications may be considered.
- Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current employee of the School District of Lee County.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate.
- Experience working with children in a group or educational setting.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and experience with organizing student activities and events.
- Knowledge of general policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and school personnel.
- Ability to relate to and inspire confidence in students.
- Ability to administer First Aid/CPR/AED as needed for illness injury or life-threatening emergencies per certification training guidelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Typical duties include but are not limited to
- Implement structured activities including academic support arts and crafts games and physical play.
- Supervise students before and/or after regular school hours in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Promote positive behavior social development and respectful interactions among students.
- Set up and clean up program areas and materials daily.
- Report all accidents immediately to the Program Director.
- Communicate effectively with students staff and parents or guardians as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
