Summary:Under the direction of the Executive Chef Food Service Worker-General is responsible for a variety of tasks in relation to dining room service and front of the house operations. See job description for a complete list of requirements and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
Possess basic math and reading skills
Possess a customer service mentality and be able to effectively interact with students and guests
Ability to function in a high stress environment
Ability to follow instructions Ability to lift 30 pounds
Ability to continuously stand and walk for the duration of an assigned shift
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform tasks related to dining room service and front of the house operations
Prepare food items while adhering to strict food safety handling protocols
Work effectively as a team contributor and be able to resolve conflicts autonomously with students and staff
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
Clean all work areas and complete prep work 15 minutes prior to end of shift to allow manager or lead cook/crew leader to double check work areas
Maintain clean prep areas coolers shelves and floors in all work areas
Complete and return appropriate temp and sanitation logs to manager at the end of each shift
Maintain mandated cooler shelf storage order guidelines
Maintain high standards of sanitation
Inform manager of damaged and unsafe equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced
Work catering as deemed necessary for operational needs
Other food service worker tasks may be assigned if necessary based on business needs
