About the Team

We are currently looking for a Sanitation Worker to join our team in Wisconsin Rapids WI.

About the Role

As a Sanitation Worker you will play a key role in cleaning production equipment machines and work areas to ensure our facility meets strict quality food safety and bacterial standards. This position is essential to maintaining a safe and hygienic production environment that supports McCains high standards of product quality and regulatory compliance.

Statement of Job

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment machines and work areas. Duties include handling cleaning chemicals preparing sanitizers monitoring chemical concentrations and properly managing waste all in accordance with McCains quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize plant equipment to meet quality and bacterial standards.

• Sanitize and inspect equipment effectively and efficiently.

• Perform after-construction detail cleaning when required.

• Work around large processing equipment where chemicals are used to complete the sanitation process.

• Work as part of a team under the direction of supervision maintaining flexibility and composure under stressful conditions.

• Assist in transporting heavy equipment using forklifts or other devices.

• Wear employer-specified personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Perform varying tasks while standing lifting crouching and reaching for extended periods.

• Follow all safety procedures to prevent injury and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

• Obtain and maintain scissor lift certification.

Other Job Duties

• Obtain and maintain High Lift certification.

• Use power equipment including backpack vacuums floor scrubbers and steam cleaners.

• Wear all required PPE for chemical handling and use.

• Work on lifts and ladders for extended periods.

• Occasionally work in construction zones as needed.

Special Requirements

• Must be comfortable working with industrial cleaning chemicals.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate cleaning records.

• Commitment to food safety sanitation and workplace safety standards.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.

Scope of Authority

• All employees are expected to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of people products and equipment.

Required Education Knowledge Skills & Abilities (Competencies)

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to complete safety training to regularly operate scissor/boom lifts up to 50ft vertically with fall protection; required.

• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.

• Ability to read write and comprehend documents related to the job.

• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels.

• Ability to work courteously and respectfully with others.

Physical Requirements

• Physically capable of performing all required duties including heavy lifting.

• Ability to lift and move hoses equipment and containers weighing between 2080 lbs throughout the shift.

• Ability to work in wet humid environments and tolerate extreme temperature changes.

• Extended periods of standing bending climbing and reaching.
