General Catering Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant/Barista to join our team in Manchester United Kingdom. As a General Catering Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals snacks and beverages
• Operate cash registers and handle various payment methods including cashless systems
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment utensils and dining areas
• Support the catering team in food preparation and cooking tasks as required
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
• Assist in stock management and inventory control
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to diners
• Set up and clear dining areas for various catering events and functions
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service delivery
• Adapt to changing priorities and maintain flexibility in work assignments

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in customer service preferably in a catering environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
• Capability to lift and carry moderate weights
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Additional Information :

Successful applicants will be required to provide a three-year employment history and five-year address history to work on Hinkley Point C.

They must be able to provide in date photographic ID and their right to work in the UK so that security clearance can be obtained as these roles are based on a nuclear regulated site.
