JobSummary:

Assists to coordinate the use of Image Guidance by retrieving MRI/CT scans setting up navigation system and making adjustments prior to and during the surgical procedure. Monitors and reports issues with navigation equipment or processes.

Daily Operations:

• Maintains navigation instrumentation and equipment calibrating same equipment as needed.
• Retrieves appropriate scans as needed.
• Assumes responsibility for accurate records and results.
• Assists throughout the surgical procedure by making equipment adjustments as directed by the physician.
• Responsible for room set up and equipment break down.
• Participates in continuing education and meeting attendance as needed.
• Ensures that images are transferred from PACs system to Navigation system.
• Ensures that images are appropriate for the scheduled surgical procedure.

Minimum:

Experience:

• One year recent clinical or Operating Room experience required
• Experience working with Image Guidance Systems preferred

Education:

• GED or High School diploma required

Special Skills:

• Strong computer skills
• Basic trouble-shooting skills
• Surgical or system related training preferred
