To collect and capture qualitative and quantitative data accurately; deliver intervention and material; provide administrative tasks and overall research support for Soweto home-based screening clinical breast examination study

The role requires candidates to have a professional work ethic due to the sensitive nature of some of the topics covered
Candidates should be non-judgemental approachable have good interpersonal and communication skills
Furthermore candidates should be passionate about imparting breast cancer prevention and early detection information to women 40-65 years of age and in performing home-based screening clinical breast examinations
Key perfomance areas:
Recruitment of pre-screened participants into the feasibility and acceptability pilot study
Recruitment of community and clinic stakeholders
Maintaining a good working relationship with participants
Scheduling of appointments
Perform informed consent procedures and data collection in line with the study protocol
Deliver intervention material and procedures in line with study protocol
To do study related duties as specified by the protocol
Ensure compliance with study specific standard operating procedures
Collect qualitative needs assessment data as directed by the project coordinator
Communicate routinely with the study coordinator and principal investigator
Do proper filing of results and any other study related documents in the relevant assigned place
Capture study data into REDCap or any other system
Provide written reports to the study coordinator
Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required
Transport the study staff documents and any study related material to required site
Perform fieldwork activities as required
Assist research team with tasks as needed
Required minimum education and training:
Matric
Required minimum work experience:
1 years experience in data collection- qualitative and quantitative data.
Desirable additional education work experience and personal abilities:
Must possess strong organisational skills
Ability to multi-task
Must be detail orientated
Must be able to work as a member of a team
Speak local languages
It is expected that s/he will apply consistent adherence to research and GCP practices
Empathetic with good communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literate
Be tactful respectful and maintain confidentiality
Ability to work independently and work as part of multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain effectiveness in changing conditions
Keen interest to work with middle aged women (40-65 years of age)
Willingness to work irregular hours and some Saturdays
Non- judgmental attitude
Communicate effectively with the research team participants stakeholders clinic and support staff
