About the role

Were seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our energetic and collaborative this key role youll lead diverse projects work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and help shape innovative engineering solutions across Queensland.

This position is ideal for a professional with 10 years of experience whos ready to take their career to the next level in a supportive growth-focused environment. Youll enjoy a dynamic mix of technical problem-solving project leadership client interaction and mentoring with no two days ever quite the same.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Design Leadership: Oversee mechanical HVAC design and documentation ensuring precision and performance across complex projects.
• Strategic Insight: Provide life-cycle assessments of existing systems recommend upgrades and present tailored options to clients.
• On-Site Collaboration: Attend inspections and work closely with contractors to ensure seamless implementation of your designs.
• Client Engagement: Build strong relationships manage expectations and deliver projects that exceed client goals.
• Team Leadership: Step into a senior position where youll guide a talented team mentor junior engineers and help shape the future of our Brisbane office.
• Project Ownership: Front projects with confidence guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving outcomes from concept to completion.

About you

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 10 years of hands-on experience in building services consultancy
• Exceptional client-facing skills and stakeholder engagement
• Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication abilities
• Familiarity with tools like BlueBeam REVIT and Camel (a plus not a must)
• A proactive mindset and a positive can-do attitude
• High-level initiative and creative problem-solving capabilities
• Proven track record in managing projects timelines and multidisciplinary teams
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards planning frameworks and engineering codes
• Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and collaboration
• RPEQ registration (or eligibility)
• Is an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
