We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee contracts related to mechanical electrical and civil works within our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be capable of conducting on-site contractor audits ensuring compliance with contractual terms safety standards and cost controls. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and contractual integrity across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts for equipment installation facility upgrades and infrastructure maintenance.
- Conduct on-site audits of contractors to verify compliance with:
- Contractual obligations
- Time sheets
- Cost tracking and invoicing
- Safety and environmental standards
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports with findings risk assessments and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering maintenance and procurement teams to ensure contract alignment with operational goals.
- Monitor contractor performance project milestones and budget adherence.
- Ensure all contracts comply with industry standards local regulations and internal policies.
- Support resolution of disputes claims and contract variations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 57 years of contract management experience in industrial manufacturing or recycling environments.
- Strong knowledge of equipment and infrastructure used in metal/non metal recycling operations
- Strong knowledge of metal recycling equipment including but not limited to shredders shears balers eddy current separators and conveyor systems.
- Proven experience in field auditing including verification of time sheets and cost tracking.
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations relevant to industrial operations.
- Excellent negotiation communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with scrap metal processing or industrial recycling plants.
- Certification in contract management (e.g. CCMP MRICS PMP) is a plus.
- Bilingual (English and French)- French preferred.
- Willingness to travel to operational sites as needed.
