Job Summary
1 year experience required Will accept first time travelers South Campus PACU BCLS ACLS required Pt. population includes adults occasional adolescents and geriatric population in level 1 trauma center. Surgical patients we recover include: Neurosurgery ENT plastics orthopedics thoracic vascular trauma general colorectal GYN urological electrophysiology interventional radiology and transplant. We do not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants. Ratio- 4 days Avg. Daily Census: 70-80 No weekends no call no holidays Alternate start timeUnit has own PCT/transport team Unit open 24/7. Consists of 38 patient bays. Staff needed for recovery of vast array of acute post op patients. Critical care experience required for PostOp as some patients require artificial airways invasive monitoring (including ICP) transfusions and vasoactive drugs. Surgical patients we recover include: Neurosurgery ENT plastics orthopedics thoracic vascular trauma general colorectal GYN urological electrophysiology interventional radiology and transplant. We do not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants. *night shift would have to learn how to work up a preop patient Critical care experience required for PACU and PostOp Critical Care experience preferred for PreOp
