Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Shift: Day Shift MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy clinical care team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a clinic environmentsuch as urgent care family medicine or internal medicineand will provide hands-on support to physicians and nurses by assisting with patient care vitals and documentation.
This role requires strong multitasking patient interaction and organizational skills to support daily operations in a fast-paced outpatient medical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patient exam rooms and assist with patient intake.
Room patients record vital signs and document medical history accurately in the EMR system.
Support providers during examinations and minor procedures.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a professional compassionate experience.
Perform administrative and clinical duties such as scheduling chart updates and patient communication.
Follow infection control and clinical safety procedures.
Manage medical supplies and maintain a clean organized work environment.
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to optimize patient flow.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
BLS certification preferred.
Experience:
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in patient documentation.
Ability to manage a patient load of approximately 20 patients per day.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Reliable punctual and team-oriented.
Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs.
