Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Dallas TX
Duration: 12 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy clinical care team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a clinic environmentsuch as urgent care family medicine or internal medicineand will provide hands-on support to physicians and nurses by assisting with patient care vitals and documentation.

This role requires strong multitasking patient interaction and organizational skills to support daily operations in a fast-paced outpatient medical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient exam rooms and assist with patient intake.

  • Room patients record vital signs and document medical history accurately in the EMR system.

  • Support providers during examinations and minor procedures.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a professional compassionate experience.

  • Perform administrative and clinical duties such as scheduling chart updates and patient communication.

  • Follow infection control and clinical safety procedures.

  • Manage medical supplies and maintain a clean organized work environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to optimize patient flow.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • BLS certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a clinic setting urgent care family medicine or internal medicine preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in patient documentation.

  • Ability to manage a patient load of approximately 20 patients per day.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

  • Reliable punctual and team-oriented.

Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs.
