A small growing manufacturing company in Glastonbury CT is seeking an experienced Accounting & Office Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and general office management. This is a hands-on role suited for a self-motivated professional who enjoys a dynamic environment and can manage multiple responsibilities independently.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Oversee collections and maintain customer account accuracy
Perform inventory accounting and bank reconciliations
Prepare accruals journal entries and financial statements
Conduct month-end and year-end closings and account analysis
Ensure compliance and accuracy in general accounting processes
Office Management
Manage office operations records and administrative workflows
Assist with receptionist duties and correspondence
Support leadership with HR payroll and benefits coordination
Maintain vendor and supplier records and communication
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and office management
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
