Program Coordinator (Office of Education and Programs)

The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is seeking a Program Coordinator in our Office of Education and Programs. Through this office AUSA informs and educates its members local regional and national leaders and the American public on subjects related to the U.S. Army. AUSA provides educational materials and resources such as publications forums symposia books and podcasts for Soldiers their families and anyone seeking to learn more about the Total Army.

AUSA has a 37.5-hour work week with a shortened workday on Fridays (8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.) and hybrid remote work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days remote). Reporting directly to the Director of Education and Programs the Program Coordinator will serve as an integral part of the Education team providing key administrative and professional support.

Duties include:

  • Provides administrative and professional support to programs for both the Education & Programs directorate as well as the National Awards Program.
  • Co-produces AUSAs podcast series in collaboration with senior Education and Programs staff.
  • Oversees the nomination and selection process of National Level Awards.
  • Manages program budgets and serves as liaison with Finance department on financial and budgetary matters.
  • Provides administrative and operational support to the Director Education and Programs.
  • Manages distribution and inventory of publications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in education or a relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional or administrative support role or program management role preferably in an education environment.
  • Army or general military experience/knowledge helpful.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
