How will your ideas contribute to shaping whats next

As our new Design Manager Roads/Civil Lead youll be a vital part of our Transport Land and Water team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable. Your role will include:

• Lead and coordinate the design process across a portfolio of large-scale Roads and/or Civil projects ensuring innovative high-quality and cost-effective solutions that meet client stakeholder and regulatory requirements

• Proactively resolve technical and design challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and to the highest standard

• Bringing diverse groups of people together to deliver seamlessly

• Creating a thriving collaborative and a high-performance culture within project teams

• Building strong trust-based relationships with delivery partners and clients

• Managing the interface between disciplines through all stages of delivery

• Liaising with construction contractors government agencies and stakeholders

• Concise communication with project governance groups

• Input into the pursuit of future opportunities in the market

As well as experience as a Design Manager on major Roads projects you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering

• Understanding of how the design impacts the construction methodology

• Understanding of project and consortium commercial aspects

• Ability to create followship with a positive leadership style and a focus on team culture

• Strong decision making skills

• Drive and persistence

• Be passionate about mentoring the next generation of Major Project leaders
