The University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for an Administrative Specialist in our Registrars Office.
The Administrative Specialist in the Registrars Office serves as the first point of contact for students faculty and staff by answering phone inquiries assisting walk-ins and managing the department email. The ability to maintain confidentiality exercise sound judgment and work independently and on a team while maintaining attention to detail is essential. A successful candidate will be well-organized and possess excellent written phone and verbal communication skills. The Department utilizes various data systems and web platforms such as Google Drive Microsoft Filemaker and Peoplesoft and requires someone with the ability to navigate such systems.
For this Administrative Specialist position the starting rate of pay will be $18.13/hour for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System. This position is full-time working 8:00AM 4:30PM Monday Friday and is located on our Portland Campus.
