Veterinary Assistant
Full-time and Part-time positions available.
Must be able to work overnight shifts on a rotating basis.
Pay range based on experience: $16 - $22 per hour

This hospital is a fast-paced Emergency Hospital that is dedicated to the care of our patients and their families. This Veterinary Assistantmust be able to restrain animals properly understand patient care and plans of treatments can do critical thinking engage in helping keep our hospital clean sanitized and stocked to serve our clients and patients with gold standard medicine and provide exceptional patient care abilities and all other duties performed during the evening hours with the hospitalized patients.

Our ideal candidate has a strong focus on exceptional patient care with an understanding of the importance of client communication. We are looking for someone who is team-oriented organized and willing to learn new skills and able to help out in all areas of the hospital when needed. Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT RVT or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not .
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean organized work environment.
