Overview
NVISION Hines Eye & Laser is seeking an Optometrist for our expanding multi-site surgical practice. Our Optometrists play a valuable role and were looking for a dynamic individual who is ready to grow with us.This is an exciting opportunity for an optometrist to work in an established ophthalmology practice with a passion for refractive and cataract surgery. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with highly experienced professionals in the surgery space.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with our Ophthalmologists ensures the best patient care for all surgical patients.
- Work with the technicians to improve efficiencies in testing and patient work up in addition to ensuring accurate patient refractions.
- Follows the clinical standards of care for the center including but not limited to: operating practices and procedure incident tracking/reporting quality maintenance surgical protocol updating medication protocol patient and occupational health and safety.
- Interacts with clinic and surgeon to ensure full communication between the surgeon and the staff in areas of surgical protocol patient management and medication schedule.
- Performs pre and post-operative care for patients at center and assists surgeons with pre and post-operative care should complications arise.
- Follows-up with co-managing/referring doctors regarding patient status and results.
- Defines and reports any clinical incidents as necessary.
Qualifications
- Licensed Optometrist in the state of California
- Cataract and LASIK experience preferred
- Desire to be an integral part in providing an exceptional patient experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not
