We are looking for a Demi Chef with good experience in Italian-style pizza making.
The candidate must be able to open and stretch pizza dough by hand (no rolling pin) and assist the chef during service in the pizza section.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and presentation of dishes in the assigned section
Ensure all mise en place is completed on time and to a high standard
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times
Follow food safety hygiene and sanitation standards strictly
Support the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth operations
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to senior chefs
Contribute to the development of new dishes and menu items when required
Ensure consistency in food quality portioning and presentation
Adhere to company policies kitchen procedures and safety regulations
Qualifications :
- Experience in preparing and stretching Italian pizza dough by hand.
- Basic knowledge of Italian ingredients and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Teamwork attitude discipline and willingness to learn
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen
- Culinary diploma or relevant vocational training (preferred)
- Good knowledge of basic cooking methods and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility with work schedules including weekends and holidays
- Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
