What Youll Do

World Market is looking for a motivated Financial Analyst to support our financial forecasting and budgeting processes. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Financial Planning and Analysis you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance and various business teams. You will impact our business through your responsibility in building financial models preparing projections analyzing variances and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the forecasting and planning process for Sales and SG&A expenses including analysis of actual results and variances to forecast and budget.
• Prepare daily and monthly sales forecasts and plans.
• Support monthly quarterly and fiscal year end close process through account analysis journal entries and reconciliation.
• Work cross functionally to support department heads on budget and forecast related requests.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to produce and maintain financial reports (while ensuring integrity and consistency of data).
• Execute ad hoc requests.
• Take on additional responsibilities or projects based on the needs of a growing organization.

What Youll Bring

• BS/BA degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field required.
• 2-4 years of analytical experience or in related field.
• To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. Strong technical skills including PC and Microsoft Office Suite and advanced level skills in Excel
• Experience with the basic accounting principles in order to create monthly journal entries.
• Experience with creating user friendly reports.
• Ability to read analyze and interpret financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management.
• Professional customer-service oriented attitude and demeanor.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills strong attention to detail high regard for accuracy and quality work.
• Effective and creative problem-solver with strong initiative and excellent follow-through.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work productively autonomously and under limited supervision. Ability to work well independently and as a collaborative team member.
• Ability to work well under pressure and successfully meet deadlines. Ability to be effective and flexible in stressful situations (i.e. unexpected problems tight deadlines).
• Work Location: Hybrid. You will spend a minimum of 2 days per week on average at our Alameda CA Home Office.

CA Pay Range is $80000 to $90000 annually.
