AS is seeking an experienced and responsible Electrical Engineer or Designer to join our Pittsburgh team. The Engineer/Designer will work independently on multiple concurrent projects both in design and construction and be responsible for the preparation of contract documents and specifications for complex building systems. This encompasses advanced calculations systems analysis quality control of finished projects and field/construction coordination activities.
Responsibilities
- Performs full design of lighting power and fire alarm systems including full equipment selection for commercial projects.
- Analyzes system options and evaluates existing systems where appropriate.
- Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within AS and externally with clients.
- Completes full design in accordance with code. Production is performed using AutoCAD & Revit depending on preference of architect.
- Writes Specifications.
- Provides bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids answering RFIs reviewing shop drawings participating in project walk throughs and providing field observation reports.
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience with BS Degree 10 years experience without.
- AutoCAD and Revit required.
