Role Summary

As an Audit Intern youll gain hands-on experience performing financial operational and compliance audits across different areas of the bank. Youll work alongside experienced auditors to evaluate internal controls identify risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical communication and critical-thinking skills while learning how auditing supports the health and integrity of a financial institution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in performing financial operational and compliance audits under supervision.

  • Evaluate internal control processes to ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Test transactions procedures and systems to assess accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Analyze data to identify potential risks control gaps or improvement opportunities.

  • Document audit findings conclusions and recommendations in a clear organized manner.

  • Support the audit team in preparing reports and presenting results to management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to understand operations and strengthen controls.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance audit quality and efficiency.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Current enrollment as an Associates or Bachelors degree student (sophomore junior or senior standing).

  • Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Interest in accounting finance auditing or risk management.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree student (sophomore junior or senior standing).

  • Coursework or exposure to auditing accounting principles or business analysis.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
