Join our Homes NSW contract as a SHEQ Manager overseeing our Western Sydney / South West Sydney portfolio.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team youll be instrumental in driving a positive and proactive safety culture while leading our Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) functions. Youll provide strategic and technical expertise to continually improve our Integrated Contract Management System (ICMS) ensuring compliance with legal contractual and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Safety Management Plans across all projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation standards and internal frameworks.
- Conduct or oversee incident investigations providing clear actionable recommendations to the leadership team.
- Champion a safety and health above all else culture ensuring alignment with all SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Oversee rehabilitation and Return-to-Work programs.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments and registers ensuring all documentation meets company requirements.
- Embed Ventias Critical Risk Protocols across all operational teams.
- Encourage team participation in achieving a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Use data and insights to inform decisions related to asset disposal renewal and maintenance programs.
- Develop and deliver engaging safety training sessions including inductions toolbox talks and pre-start meetings.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace / Occupational Health and Safety Environment or Quality (or equivalent).
- Formal training in incident investigation and Management Systems / Lead Auditor qualifications is advantageous.
- Solid background in high-risk environments particularly electrical safety and working at heights.
- Resilient influential and collaborative with the ability to mentor teams and engage multiple stakeholders from regulatory bodies to contractors.
- Skilled in managing competing priorities and maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement compliance and risk management strategies.
- Proven experience managing safety audit programs and ensuring system compliance.
- Strong understanding of contractual KPIs and a commitment to HSE leadership and accountability.
- In-depth knowledge of SHEQ legislation ISO standards and regulatory requirements within utilities or infrastructure projects.
