Job Summary
Minimum Qualifications
MA or MFA in ceramics with a consistent record of active engagement in the discipline. Broad knowledge of ceramics Ability to articulate contemporary historical and conceptual issues
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience beyond the graduate level Evidence of successful college teaching effectiveness Interest in Ceramics as a vehicle for social justice Strong writing speaking and interpersonal skills We seek creative adaptable staff who enjoy working in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity multicultural understanding and cultural fluency. The Art and Art History Department together with the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery at St. Catherine University seeks a creative adaptable and justice oriented artist-educator to join our community. Our department and gallery strive to engage the University and greater community in women-centered visual arts. Additionally we seek to reflect and celebrate the diversity of St. Catherine University and its many neighbors in the community. We are committed to challenging ourselves and our students to think critically about the roles that visual art plays in contributing to interrupting and promoting healing from systems of injustice.
