What You Will Do:

• Performing field observation/inspection.
• Verify compliance with the plans and specifications.
• Prepare pay estimates and produce project documentation for private municipal county and TxDOT.
• Documentation will include daily inspection logs quantity calculations and backup documentation letters memos and spreadsheets.
• You may also help with surveying proposals project budgets and schedules and may be involved in design-build pavement management or a variety of other technical related activities.
• Applicant must be willing to travel and perform assigned duties outside of the immediate Melissa area.

What You Will Bring:

• 1 years of construction inspection or related experience is required (5 years of experience preferred).
• Excellent technical communication organizational skills.
• Any technical certifications related to construction are preferred. Qualified candidates should send a copy of your current certification card when applying.
• Valid drivers license with a good driving record is required.
• You must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains associated with construction sites.
• A two-year technical degree from an accredited school or a degree from a four-year accredited college in a field related to civil engineering construction is a plus and will only increase your opportunities and growth.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Municipal construction inspection for utility roadway drainage and other types of public improvements for individuals who want to better themselves and seek to be challenged.
• You must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. Due to the physical nature of the work you must be able to lift 50 lbs. 75 lbs. periodically. Youre required to work with your hands and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. At times you may be working at or on uneven terrain slopes in confined spaces or reinforced trenches.
• Ability to work 40 hours a week.
• Ability to work in McKinney TX.
