The Monitoring Analyst plays a critical role in the continuous oversight and analysis of our organizations IT systems network infrastructure and/or security environments. This position is responsible for real-time monitoring incident identification escalation and performance reporting to ensure optimal system uptime data integrity and compliance with established protocols.
Responsibilities:
Real-Time Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT systems applications network infrastructure or security environments using specialized tools and dashboards.
Incident Detection & Response: Identify anomalies and potential threats; promptly escalate incidents according to established procedures.
Event Analysis: Investigate alerts assess severity and provide detailed analysis and recommendations for remediation.
Reporting: Generate and maintain accurate daily weekly and monthly reports on system performance incidents and trend analysis.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT Security and Operations teams to resolve issues and enhance monitoring strategies.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring procedures incident response and system configurations.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to monitoring tools processes and response procedures.
Compliance: Ensure all monitoring activities adhere to company policies industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Cyber security or related field; or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of experience in a monitoring IT operations or security operations role.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk SolarWinds Nagios Datadog SIEM platforms etc.).
Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment (may require shift work or on-call rotation).
Yearly Pay Rate:
$60000 - $85000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications
