Job Summary

Location: Canning Vale
Pay rate: $50-$55 Flat rate
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 6:00am - 3:30pm (OT available depending on work load)

Role

Seeking a reliable and motivated Fitter/Mechanic to join our small dynamic team ideally someone who values variety in their daily work
Experience with or a keen interest in mining and earthmoving equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic cylinders and a range of heavy-duty mobile equipment components

Key Responsibilities

Perform precision mechanical repairs on hydraulic cylinders and drill rig components including pito assemblies carousels and rotary actuators
Confidently carry out mechanical assembly with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail

General Requirements

Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers micrometers and dial indicators
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and build lists
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Work safely and effectively within a team environment
Maintain a clean organized and efficient workspace
Accurately record time spent on each job
Basic welding skills are desirable

Qualifications

Trade certification in a mechanical discipline
Proven relevant industry experience
Hydraulic training (highly regarded)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong communication skills and a proactive positive attitude
Valid drivers licence
Current forklift licence
