Job Summary

Bismarck Public Schools is seeking to hire an hourly support individual to tutor GED mathematics and science at the Adult Learning Center.

The individual will provide instruction in preparation for the GED test. GEDtutor responsibilities include creating lesson plans and leading classes for 20 hours per week plus prep time. Subjects include Math and Science. Classroom time will be mornings and afternoons. The Adult Learning CenterTutor will instruct and tutor students; sign students up for online platforms and study hours/progression on online platforms to provide practice testing help with scheduling testing for the GED and monitor progress and testing a small-group setting thetutor will adapt lessons to accommodate the different levels of students. Successful applicant will need to manage classroom procedures space and behavior; set individualized learning outcomes for students; participate inprofessional development and all other duties assigned by the ALC Coordinator.

This position offers benefits and the number of total hours (up to 36 hours per week) is negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledgeable in mathematics throughGeometry
Knowledge of science concepts
Experience teaching adults
