Stock Controller Cape Town

KWV a renowned South African brand and industry leader in the production of world-class wines and other spirits has a permanent vacancy for a Stock Controller based in Paarl Western Cape.

• Division: Logistics

Purpose:

To plan execute supervise & control all activities connected with the inventory control effective handling storage & transportation of all finished goods from the point of arrival through to assembly of orders in correct quantity time & condition to ensure that the depot operates at maximum efficiency. Liaise closely with the immediate Team Leader Admin relevant Head Office Personnel and relevant external parties. The incumbent is responsible for and will continually strive to ensure that only food safe and quality services that meet all applicable standards and requirements (legal regulatory and client) are supplied with integrity.

Job Summary:

• Accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
• Requested goods are delivered on time.
• Required products are readily available.
• Maintain contact with clients and suppliers to establish good working relationships.
• System functionality is maintained or improved.
• Supervise the maintenance of warehouses/storerooms and proper management of stock.
• All non-conforming stock is blocked.
• Monthly Variances (FTR) excluding breakages.
• Demonstrate innovation and continuous process improvement.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures related to SHE & ISO 14001.
• Warehouse is kept clean at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 with mathematics as a preference and NQF level 4 would be advantageous.
• 2-3 years FMCG Warehouse experience.
• Understanding of the Receiving Production and Distribution processes.
• High level of attention to detail.
