About the Role

Were looking for a Property Information Officer to join our Inclusive Growth directorate at Birmingham City Council. Youll play a key role in maintaining and updating our land planning and highways information systems ensuring that property search requests are handled accurately efficiently and in line with our customer service standards.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail excellent organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to both internal and external customers including solicitors and members of the public.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Maintain update and manage planning land charges and highways information systems in line with council data governance standards.
  • Retrieve and analyse data to produce accurate responses to Con29 and other property-related enquiries.
  • Handle enquiries from internal teams solicitors and the public within agreed service level timescales.
  • Carry out site visits to verify and collect property and land data as required.
  • Prepare and collate technical and historical records to ensure the accuracy and integrity of council information systems.
  • Provide professional responsive customer service investigating and resolving routine enquiries.
  • Promote equality of opportunity and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

About You

  • Strong data management and administrative skills with a methodical approach to maintaining accurate records.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • An understanding of planning land charges or highways information (desirable but not essential).
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
