Job Skills / Requirements

SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of janitorial staff at a community college facility. This role ensures that cleaning standards are met staff are properly trained and equipped and that the work environment remains safe and efficient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Includes but not limited to the following.

Supervise janitorial team members during assigned shift.

• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to contract specifications.
• Conduct daily inspections of work areas for quality assurance.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures safety protocols and equipment use.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Communicate with Site Manager regarding staffing performance and issues.
• Address and resolve employee or client concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Operate and oversee use of janitorial equipment (e.g. buffers scrubbers).
• Complete shift reports and documentation as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English.

REASONING: Ability to apply common understanding to carry out uninvolved written and oral instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; handle or feel reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close distance and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job the employee is working indoor at a college facility with exposure to cleaning chemicals. May involve working around students faculty and staff. Noise levels may vary depending on equipment used.

Schedule: MondayFriday 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
