Job Description
Lead external community referring liaison efforts by playing a key role in the outreach and market expansion strategy of Lurie Childrens Hospital. Works in close concert with Lurie Childrens Physician Nursing Corporate Outreach Business Analytics Marketing and Strategy leadership and clinical teams to promote Lurie Childrens programs services providers and expand outreach and community partnerships and engagement and grow awareness of Lurie Childrens brand.
Essential Job Functions:
Increase the number of patients served by Lurie Childrens Hospital Outpatient Satellites and partner hospitals. Develop and maintain solid relationships and continuous communication with community-based providers: pediatricians FPs OB/GYNs midwives MFMs and other potential referral sources including but not limited to EDs urgent and immediate care centers.
Develop and maintain competency in the use of SG2 market intelligence software to understand current PCP behaviors increase loyalty analyze leakage and uncover new opportunities for growth of Lurie Childrens sub-specialty services. Develop and maintain competency in Lurie Childrens Business Analytics and Data Analytics Resources tools: Power BI MAAC etc. Provide feedback on digital strategy experience impacting provider selection.
Refer providers abreast of new and expanded Lurie Childrens programs services and payor plans in which Lurie Childrens participates.
Plan and implement promotional strategies to increase referrals to Lurie Childrens specialist physicians and mid-level providers researching and coordinating opportunities for specialists to interface with referring community-based providers through face-to-face and telephonic visits and educational engagements.
Increase knowledge of and referrals to CIFH by expanding the Lurie Childrens physician base to include OB/GYN midwife delivering Family Practice and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Implement regional outreach plan for the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health (CIFH) arranging CIFH outreach visits and educational opportunities with targeted providers and hospitals in the multi-state region to include but not limited to IN WI MO IA MI in addition to central/southern IL. Foster productive relationships between CIFH staff and referring providers. Drive new referrals to the NICU medical and surgical divisions ancillary diagnostic services and grow relationships vital to the success of IFH.
Manage complaints and facilitate resolution of community-based providers problems or concerns (access communication).Follow up with appropriate hospital leadership to resolve any identified customer service issues. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within Lurie to improve the referring provider experience
Ensure growth of Lurie Childrens Partnership Hospitals by promoting programs services and specialists to community-based providers:introducing new HBM Site Leaders to key practices attending partnership joint practice meetings to provide outreach updates meeting regularly with satellite site managers to identify areas of interest attending partnership department meetings and creating opportunities for Lurie Childrens specialist presentations when possible. Support partnership CME events by assisting with Lurie Childrens specialist speaker recruitment venue coordination promotion and staffing the events.
Support Lurie Childrens primary care strategy through identifying community-based practices at risk of being acquired or considering employment at a competitive organization.
Research and analyze the external market keeping abreast of Lurie Childrens competitive position in assigned market area eliciting feedback monitoring activities and referrals of community-based providers payors and contracting networks including but not limited to pediatricians FPs OB/GYNs midwives MFMs specialist physicians hospitals IPAs FQHCs PHOs ACOs. Share market intelligence with hospital leadership providing feedback and preparing reports as requested.
Ensure growth of targeted and strategic hospital initiatives through emphasizing promotion of specific programs to community-based providers including both clinical and practice management programs.
Collaborate with Lurie Childrens Marketing team and other members of the Physicians Services team to plan execute and promote educational events (CMEs) for community-based providers. Support Community Based Medicine initiatives
Foster awareness of community-based providers re: Lurie Childrens based programs:LCHPCIN CCPA CCPA PP GLPTN Care Coordination Community Connect EpicCare Link Rapid Connect and the Division of Community Based Medicine to connect community-based providers with leadership and staff of these programs as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business administration or equivalent required. Masters degree in business administration or health care administration/management highly preferred.
A minimum of five years professional work experience with three years in health care industry preferred. Sales experience very desirable.
Ability to travel to different sites as needed.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with medical and allied health professionals.
Demonstrates ability to build credibility with physician clients quickly through rapid demonstration of responsiveness to the physicians needs.
Possesses superb internal and external communication skills and excellent writing presentation analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrates strong customer service orientation.
Self-starter proactive attitude; follow-through critical.
Reasonable computer skills a necessity.

$83200.00-$137280.00 SalaryAt Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
