Job Summary
Sessional Lecturer English Language Preparatory Program
James Cook University Singapore
James Cook University Singapore invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced academics for the role of Sessional Lecturer in the English Language Preparatory Program.
The appointee will be responsible for the teaching and supervision of students enrolled in the program and will contribute to maintaining the high academic standards of the University. Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in any area of English or Education.
Please note: Applicants for sessional positions must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare deliver and assess lessons in accordance with the program curriculum.
Ensure all teaching and administrative activities comply with JCU policies procedures and quality standards.
Undertake other academic duties as assigned by JCU Singapore management.
Key Selection Criteria
A degree plus a recognised TESOL qualification (e.g. CELTA); OR
A degree with a teaching qualification including TESOL; OR
A degree in Education or Teaching with TESOL specialisation.
Proven record of quality teaching and student supervision.
Ability to teach General or Academic English across different proficiency levels.
