Position Overview
The Free Press is looking for a Social-First Video Editor to help us bring our journalism to millions more people online. This person will play a key role in growing our presence on TikTok Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts by creating must-watch viral content.
What Youll Do
- Edit short-form social-first videos from our podcasts YouTube shows and reported articles.
- Edit compelling viral clips featuring our reporters and stories.
- Experiment with new formats and trends to increase engagement reach and followers.
- Work closely with the Head of Social Media to execute and expand our social video strategy.

Requirements
- Must live or be willing to relocate to New York City.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proven ability to produce engaging short-form content for TikTok Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
$65000 - $80000 a year
